Position Title: Surgery Scheduler

External Description:

This position is responsible for the daily coordination of the physician’s surgery schedule, surgery patients and the entire surgery process. This includes, but not limited to, scheduling the pre-op and post-op visits, the surgery, obtaining medical clearance, providing all pre-surgical instructions, obtaining benefits, verification and pre-certification of insurance and collection of any out of pocket costs for the physician’s portion. This position works closely with the physicians, hospital staff and other members of the health care team. Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills are essential to this position.
