Position Title: Nurse Practitioner

External Description:

Genesis OB/GYN Northwest is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our well-established practice in Northwest Tucson. Our team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Nurse Midwives provide generations of women with that important personal touch for their continued health and well-being.  Candidates for this position will work in conjunction with our team of licensed professionals to provide high quality care to patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs. 

 Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assists in labor and delivery as well as direct prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.  
• Provides well women patient services and primary care to low-to-moderate risk obstetrical and gynecological patients. 
• Assists patients in labor & delivery 
• Participates in Care Center on-going Quality Assurance or Improvement activities. 
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. 
• Inpatient and outpatient care. May be required to work on-call or on continuous roster. 

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelors Degree with minimum of 1 year experience in practice as a midwife.  
• Experience working with electronic health records. 

Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations: 

• American College of Nurse-Midwives certification.  
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license from the AZ Board of Nursing or current unrestricted RN license, in good standing, issued by state of residence with the ability to obtain an AZ license within 90 days of hire.  
• Certification as an advanced practice provider. 
• Current DEA certificate  
• Current First Aid, CPR, and BLS Certification
